From the Seine to the Eiffel Tower: Year 13’s Parisian Journey πŸ‡«πŸ‡·πŸ—Ό

On 15th July, 30 of our current Year 13 students (then in Year 12) travelled by Eurostar on a 5-day residential trip to Paris.Β

On arrival, after checking in at the hotel, they enjoyed a river cruise on the Seine where they practised their selfie skill in front of major Parisian landmarks.

The next day, they spent the morning in the Pere Lachaise cemetery, looking for graves of celebrities (Oscar Wilde, Edith Piaf, Jim Morrison…) before having lunch in the Quartier du Marais. In the afternoon, they visited the Orsay Museum, famous for its Impressionist paintings. Finally, they had the opportunity to enter Notre-Dame for the first time after the fire.

On the Thursday, everyone enjoyed visiting the Louvre museum, including the Mona Lisa. Then they walked along the Champs ElysΓ©es and had the chance to climb to the top of the Arc de Triomphe.Β

Friday was a full-on day, as the students were amazed by the views from the second floor of the Eiffel Tower. Afterwards, they had fun taking part in a petanque competition before spending time in the Rodin museum.

On the final day, students discovered the Montmartre district and had the opportunity to do some final shopping.Β

Everyone came back with lots of memories!
