MGGS Spring Concert: A Night of Musical Brilliance
On Tuesday, 10th March, the MGGS Spring Concert returned to dazzle a large and appreciative audience of friends and family, with a spectacular showcase of musical talent. With over 80 performers taking part, the programme offered a vibrant mix of rock anthems, contemporary hits, and classics from the world of musical theatre.
Among the many highlights on the night, there were captivating solo and duet performances from Kallie W, Freya E, Amy L, Olivia G, Anke J, Lisa B, Olivia M, Harper M, Gold O, Chidumebi A, Bhavya A, Daniella N, Charlotte B, Suwani E, Melanie Y, Aakhya H, Isabella-Paige F, Emme P, and Ella M. It was particularly pleasing to see so many students accompanying themselves or collaborating with others, demonstrating a high level of technical skill.
Stage Door Choir and Chamber Choir both delivered outstanding performances. featuring beautiful and confident part-singing. These moments were perfectly balanced by the energy of Concert Orchestra, the newly established E.G.O guitar ensemble, and our three fantastic student-led bands: Sixth Sense 2.0, Statik, and Last Minute – who all displayed exceptional energy and passion.
This concert was a wonderful celebration of our vibrant and talented musical community. It was inspiring to see so many students taking part, under the expert direction of Miss Morris, Mrs Hutchings, Mr Woollett and Ms Faycal, as well as the support from Chloe W and the student AV tech team who ensured the smooth running of such a professional and polished event.
Many congratulations and thanks to everyone involved! We now look forward to our Summer Concert on Tuesday, 23rd June, which will feature our exciting Belgium Music Tour programme. We hope to see you there!
