“Nobody will come to a club on a Friday after school.”

When Mr Thomas first started a Volleyball Club, the only after-school slot available was on a Friday afternoon. He was told not to expect many students as nobody would come to a club on a Friday after school. Now, over fifty students regularly attend and the club is growing following the success of the school teams in the National Championships as they continue to climb the national rankings. 

The MGGS Volleyball Club extends into the sixth form and offers before and after school training as well as a lunchtime slot. The club has also gained the attention of our caterers, Independent Catering, who have generously sponsored the new match kit, to be revealed soon…
