Pastry and Global Plates: A Taste of Food & Nutrition Practicals
Here is a snippet of what’s been happening in food and nutrition lessons over the last week. Firstly, we have Year 8 perfecting their skills in pastry making with apple turnovers; this is a fast-paced lesson whilst they prepare their fruit, make pastry from scratch and then assemble both elements into carefully crimped turnovers.

In Year 10, students have been exploring cultural cuisines, taking into account the religions of the country or region. Students had the freedom to choose a culture and a dish and presented a wide array of responses. They excelled in their use of authentic ingredients and demonstrated independence and excellent understanding of cuisine from around the world. Well done Year 10.
