The MGGS GRIT Sponsored Challenge

Which form groups will win the Krispy Kreme donuts? Who will win the Nando’s Voucher?

MGGS first opened its doors in 1888 and to acknowledge our history, each form group has been challenged to collectively complete 1888km between 28th June and 4th July 2021. This is the distance between MGGS and Monte Cassino in Italy, which was the site of an important moment in WWII history, the Battle of Monte Cassino.

The form group that raises the most money and the form group that rows the furthest on their allocated day will win Krispy Kreme donuts, and every individual who raises over £50 will be entered into a prize draw to win a Nando’s platter and two soft drinks. In addition, the person who raises the most money in the school will have their name displayed in the new building.

You too can help us towards our £300,000 target to develop our WWII tunnels into an immersive, educational visitor experience where stories of yesteryear’s adversity will be explored alongside today’s tales of the Covid 19 pandemic, celebrating what both generations have in common: Growth, Resilience, Integrity and Togetherness – to put it simply, GRIT. Donations are to be made via https://mggs.ptly.uk/mggsdonate. Students, don’t forget to give your sponsors your student code so that their donations will be allocated to you.

Good luck! #MGGSGRIT
