Year 7 & 8 Go “Back to the Future” at the Adelphi Theatre

“When Marty McFly finds himself transported back to 1955 in a time machine built by the eccentric scientist Doc Brown, he accidentally changes the course of history. Now he’s in a race against time to fix the present, escape the past and send himself… back to the future.”

On Thursday, April 25th 100 very excited year 7 and 8 students travelled up to London to watch the electrifying Back to the Future musical with some of our staff. All aspects of the show were excellent and it was great for our students to see multiple art forms come together to create a spectacular show. The energy of the cast, the quick changing set and of course the car were all awesome! We are still trying to work out how the time-traveling sequences were done and the car flew and turned upside down at the end!

Here’s what Ruby F from 7A had to say:  “I loved having the opportunity to be able to go and see Back to the Future Musical, it was a fun and amazing experience. Thank you to the teachers who arranged it for us to go.”

We also received some terrific feedback:  “I wonder if it’s possible to forward this email to the schools who attended the above performance yesterday, please.  My friend and I, aged 60 & 80 sat in the gods amongst school students.  We must commend their quiet and respectful behaviour throughout the performance and during the queuing in and out of the theatre. The school should be extremely proud of them.”
