As A Snowflake
Ciphered secrets hide in the harsh wind,
A darkened tale,
Waiting, waiting, never to be unveiled,
As a snowflake dances on the bitter gales,
And as the ebony sky shelters the illuminant snow below,
The pearly moon hangs on to the night,
Incandescent lights up above, shining stars
Tall sugar-dusted trees sway in the icy breeze,
As a snowflake drifts to the snowy ground,
And the glistening towns far from here falls into a hushed silence,
Pungent aromas of poinsettia lingers in the air,
The gingerbread cookies laid out,
Embers, embers of a warm fire,
As a snowflake melts into the blanket of white,
And the world sleeps hoping for a sweet surprise,
As the sun leaps from beneath the horizon,
Faces glint with joy,
The heart of the town filled with melodic carols and spirit,
As a snowflake lands elegantly on the heads of many,
And the shine of community gleams bright.
Golden rays beam over the mountains,
The comforting taste of the Christmas turkey,
Prancing on the tip of your tongue,
As a snowflake surfs on the light draft,
And the day comes to a close,
Tattooing a smile on every face.
