Year 7 Science Club Attends a Hogwarts Potions Class
On Tuesdays of Week 1 the Year 7 Science Club meets at lunchtime.
This week they had the opportunity to enter the magical world of Harry Potter. Professor McGonagall arrived and the students had a very enjoyable potions lesson, using Basilisk Venom, Dragon Spit, Unicorn Milk, Spider’s Eggs and Leprechaun Elixir to mention a few. They watched spiders flee, made magic mud which went hard when touched and runny when left alone and saw the unicorn milk dance.
Other activities that were completed last term include:
- Exciting Electrification where students were able to investigate electricity and use the Van De Graaff machine (SHOCKING!)
- Guts and Gore where students were able to watch a live dissection of lungs, heart, liver and oesophagus and even got to touch all the pieces.
Next time at Science Club there will be Firework Fun!
