Year 8 Natural History Museum Geography Trip on a ‘Mission to Mars’!

On Thursday and Friday last week a group of year 8s at MGGS went on a visit to the Natural History Museum as part of their Mission to Mars topic in Geography. As well as looking around the Volcanoes, Minerals and Restless Earth exhibits students also participated in the Lego Build the Change: Save Our Planet workshop.

Students were tasked with building a Lego building that suited a chosen environment and showed its sustainability. They were then challenged to have a further focus on their building such as having a community element to it.  At the end of the workshop, all buildings were put together to form a Lego town. You can see some of the amazing creations our students put together as well as some very tall buildings!!
