Years 7-9 Dance – So You Want to Dance? Schools Challenge…

On Tuesday 26th March, our Intermediate and Spectrum teams competed at the So You Want to Dance? Schools Challenge down in Canterbury.

Our Intermediate team performed their Barbie-inspired dance, which was performed with confidence, energy and sass!

Our Spectrum team performed their piece ‘Made of Stone’, which was full of emotion, expression and perfect timing!

I am pleased to announce that Spectrum came first in the classical section, and Intermediate came third in the cabaret section! This is even more an impressive achievement considering that there were no age divisions in this competition, so our teams were competing against students further up the school!

We were also thrilled to receive second place overall out of all of the schools that competed!

I am incredibly grateful to our dancers for giving up their time to represent us and to Meg and Sophie for coming along and supporting both teams. Thank you to Mr Gooda for coming along and helping us – I think he had more fun than he let on!
