Your Direction – Parental Conflict Support for Young People
If you are working with young people affected by parental conflict or separation, a new programme launching in February will give you a clear, practical referral option.
In January, Kent County Council and Medway Council commissioned an online programme delivered by Your Direction, part of the Restored Lives charity, to support young people to navigate life at home.
These workshops provide a safe, supportive space where young people can share their experiences and gain 10 life-changing skills to help them cope with what’s happening.
Your Direction
“When your parents split up, life can feel upside down. It’s the start of a journey that can be difficult, but you are not alone. We run workshops for two age groups, 12-17 and 18-30 year olds, offering specialised and effective support tailored to the needs of
young people. We’ve gathered personal stories and helpful resources for the common stages young people go through, so you can discover support that fits where you are.”
This programme will be available shortly in Kent and there will be more information in our next newsletter but in the meantime, please visit the website to find out more: Your Direction.
To ensure you are fully briefed on the programme, please join one of the upcoming online awareness sessions:
Session 1: Thursday 22 January, 3:00–4:00pm
Session 2: Tuesday 3 February, 3:00–4:00pm
Session 3: Wednesday 11 February, 12:30–1:30pm
