House Arts is the ‘jewel in the crown’ of MGGS events; an annual competition rotating between Music, Drama and Dance. House Arts 2021 took place today and MGGS was buzzing with excitement! This year’s theme is ‘Past, Present and Future’ and all of the Houses have worked very hard to express this theme through the medium of Drama. Well done to everyone who has taken part!
Awarded categories and winners were:
- Best individual/solo performance – Jess D Saxons
- Best video element – Vikings
- Best ensemble performance – Britons
- Best use of design elements – Romans
- Best programme – Normans
- Best original script – Danes
- Best overall performance – Danes
Our sincere thanks also go to our adjudicator Lorna Thomas for making the final decisions. Lorna is currently the resident choreographer and production coordinator for Parkwood theatres. Having trained at MEPA gaining her musical theatre diploma, she went on to perform in many shows and has toured widely across the UK.
